Hi all

My new to me rav4 t180 rev counter needle is not working. It stays on 0 on idle then moves to max of 1000 when reved.

Any idea what this could be? Everything else seems to be fine, no lights up etc.

Help really appreciated.

Cheers for the reply.

I have asked a few garages etc and they seem to think the gauge is at fault, slipping etc. Makes sense to me because its been running fine. I think it would be more evident if a crank sensor or something was to blame which would probably bring up a light on the dash. So sending the cluster to a repair center.

Wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed its just that.

Got the cluster repaired at cluster repairs in Essex. They where on wheeler dealers. Did a cracking job. 2 year guarantee.

100 quid vs 970 for a new one.
