This is in fact my 2nd set!

I still got my 3 year old Crossclimate on my Auris 😉

Just had the CrossClimate fitted to the TS.
Immediately noticed the difference, much quieter than original continentals. When cornering the car feels like it’s sticking to the road, before the steering felt light.

Tomorrow I will have to increase the pressure, as I usually have them ready for motorway driving. That should improve the mpg

Nice one, Ant!

Out of interest

As they are all season tyres, do u still put in the recommended PSI? 🤔

I will have to check the manual, I am sure there is three different pressures. One labelled eco.

I kept the previous car at 40 with no uneven wear, or any issues.

I think mine is 34 (driver only)

So, kept mine about 35...as I got the 225/45 CrossClimate+ (and not the recommended 215/45) 😁

But still unsure ref PSI for all season / winter tyres (or when my is 225 and not 215/45)...🤔

measure your tread depths now, then increase your tyre pressures

and monitor where you have tyre wear if the centre is wearing more

then you have over inflated the tyres if they are staying equal across

the tyre then the pressures are fine

My last service at Toyota indicated my left rear tyre the outside was at least 2mm more worn than the rest of the width 😳

get your tracking tested and reset

we have our auris's tracking front and rear checked & adjusted

we use kwikfit as they have the hunter alignment system which is

equal to toyota's and if you pay £120 you can have your tracking

front & rear checked & adjusted uo to 8 times over 2 years with no further charges

How many miles have you done on the tyres?

I had clocked up only about 9000 in the three years. The tyres still looked new (walls and tread).

I haven’t sold my fobo tpms yet, if your interested?
They work well, they worn you of the pressure changes, either loss in pressure or if in hot weather and the pressure increases. You can set the target and trigger pressure.
Found out I had a leak in one of the tyres that came with the car. Had an alert in summer when one tyre was starting to rise.

Wonder how the built in system compares.

Very kind, Ant

But, i think I give it a miss (ref TPMS 🙂

i have done 10k+ in the 5months commuting to Manchester - so over 3 years, I think I done 35k just on the CrossClimate 🙂

will be intrigued what the NEW CrossClimate+ will be liked 🤔

My previous cars had automatic TPMS - good in one case when driving home, it came on and my tyre was almost flat 😳 in other cases they are too sensitive when tyres are fine (maybe due to weather or sudden pressure change due to pot holes 🤔)

Really like it, thought the other car was great and the new one would struggle to better it.

Doesn’t hang about when the windows need demisting.
It accelerates better while on electric to 30mph, one downside on the old one.

Still waiting to see how many miles per tank, for the time of year in comparison to the old one.

Still getting used to parking it, since it fills the average space lol

Also put my claim in for the Michelin, £40 cash back. How about that, I got the email reminding me that the offer expires at the end of the month.

Total for the tyres after the cash back will be £292, compared to last time £440

Price for 4 CrossClimate 205 55 16 91H fitted with vat was £332. The Michelin offer for 15/16 tyres was £10 per tyre.

Took a while to find the best price, some online places quoted the same, but was only for delivery and you take the tyres to a tyre place.

The place I chose were definitely better equipped than ATS.
Definitely busy but I had to leave them the car for 2 hours.

Will use them again.
