I turned back to roundabout and GENTLY brake, but still slided 😳

Shame we haven’t anything like your way so I couldn’t experiment.

The other year when I was at strinsdale at the roebuck inn. It had snow that night. The car park is sloping, just popped it in to drive and let it creep up hill to the road.

Nah

Just waiting for my annual leave from work, then will see...

Can’t remember if I had mine done, or it was coming up just as I changed the car.
The cold weather isn’t half denting my mpg over the tank full.
A week on Friday I’m off to York so the longer run should give me a better result.

Actually, I have TWO "recall" letters:

01. Passenger Airbag

02. ECU reprogram

Just rung Toyota,

01. Airbag can be booked for fix

02. ECU no details yet

So, going to wait for ECU fix, then book car in for both fixes 😉

As typical I got the ecu letter in December 2 months after I changed cars.

Been driving without the cruise control for my short commute, big leap in mpg even with the heater on.

I never used my cruise control

In the old days of less cars and less lane hoggers, cruise control was awesome and probably more economical!

Heard latest report ELECTRIC cars in winter with heater on could lose more than 70% of their fuel range! 😱

On a longer run it wouldn’t be as a big of impact but over 3.5 miles with mixed speeds and traffic. I have had about 25 mpg.

Today going shopping, got off the motorway at Blackpool. Drove the rest of the way on Battery and still had 50% of the Battery, compared to doing 30 with cruise control. On the motorway there wasn’t much in it.

Tried not using the cruise control while on a weekend away to York, noticed the instant mpg around 75 on the level.

On the way back, I have managed to get 4.5 blocks for the regenerative braking, slow traffic on the downhill back to milnrow.
Vehicle fire just after the junction.
So luckily we came off there and later when I was joining the motorway again it was all clear.

Nice one, Ant!

I guess the double digit temp over the weekend helped too :)

Done 250 miles and the estimated range is 270, the needle is just over half.
So I’m hopeful that this tank is going to get me a lot further.

Didn’t enjoy the drive at night. Some of the people going the other way appeared to have kept full beam as they passed me.
