Jbl Speakers

First post so please go easy on me. I'm not very technical.

I have a 2007 (UK) Toyota Prius 1.5lt. Thought it was about time that I brought an after market basic single din USB Pioneer Stereo. Went on youtube and found a way of fitting it beneath the original stereo in that push open compartment.

Purchased the relevant interface Toyota leads... Then this weekend spent an hour taking the dash apart to get to the stereo (courtesy of youtube tutorial).

Anyway the leads didn't fit. Apparently I have JBL Speakers and an Amp and I need another lead to act as an inbetween.

This lead costs £89 (http://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=4399)!!! The stereo only costs £30!

Am I looking at the wrong lead, any other way around this?

Thanks in advance.

If the stereo you have in is the JBL version then you are probably downgrading with your new £30 Pioneer system, I would leave it as it is unless it's faulty.

Maybe you looked at the instructions for the T3 which had a basic setup.

The T4 and T-Spirit had the upgraded JBL system.

Quite useful to get the aux-in or usb with a newer head unit for a T3, though the T4 and Spirit should already have aux-in.

Hi, thanks for the replies.

Yes mines a T4, I seriously should have checked the handbook before I started.

Also, yep I have the AUX-IN port... BUT maybe it's just me, I much prefer USB. Thats why I wanted to change stereos.

I'm thinking of just getting one of those FM USB Car transmitters and chucking it in the cigarette plug.
