Rolling Around In The Roof

My 6 month old Auris HSD estate has developed a noise which sounds like a ballbearing rolling from one side of the car to the other when I go around corners.

I've been trying to locate it and I've finally settled on coming from the roof. It sounds like perhaps a screw or something metal is in between roof skins and is just rolling around up there.

Anyone else had this?

Now, as it's 6 months old I don't want to start pulling stuff apart inside the car. I've gone as far as taking the plastic covers off around the HV Battery under the back seat to see if something was in there but I think that's about the limit I'm prepared to go to, as the roof lining is something else.

I've booked it in at Toyota for them to have a look. They say if it's not covered under the warranty it'll be a £54 investigation fee but 6 months old it's surely classed as a manufacturing fault isn't it?

Also, for a Toyota, I'm not especially impressed with the build quality of what I've seen so far. Plastic covers are loose, plastic plugs to hold them in aren't tight etc. Now with something that seems to have fallen off in the roof space, it's not a great advert for Toyota's quality.
