Bumper On My Rav4.3 Looks Low Compared To Others.

The gap between my bumper and the bonnet looks big compared to photos I have seen. Its about 7mm and because of this the bumper bracket on the right side has the bumper adrift and won't stay. I think if I lift the front part off the bumper up it will probably take the weight off this and stop it popping out.

Has the bumper support bracket on the front crash beam and the steel plate coming off the centre of the bumper got anything on it? Mine has not. Can the front bumper be lifted up in the centre.

I will probably take it off this weekend, but just thought I would ask if anyone has had this problem off the front bumper dropping over time. Mines got the A bar attached so its quite heavy?

Ok, Replaced the bumper retainer that had snapped (bought from Lindop toyota, 17 quid, expected more) but found no problems anywhere else on the bumper/mounting points. So I got some big plastic washers aprrox 2mm thick and put these under the top mounting points for the bumper and radiator grill.

Fixed, no movement in the bumper and looks like its the right height. The engine under tray had a lot off the fixing missing so all the weight of this was pulling the bumper down too. probably lost during servicing. replaced al the missing ones. Hopefully be fine now.
