Missing Cover For Emergency Tailgate Lock Release On T27 Tourer

The one thing I have noticed apart from the missing Battery clamp bar(fixed), that the cover to the emergency lock is missing.

I think there is meant to be a cover as mentioned in the handbook, but there is no separate part number. I showed the parts man at my local Toyota dealers, and he says I may have to buy the whole panel!

Is there anyway of obtaining this small part?

Anyone with a Tourer, can they check their cover and see if a part number is printed on the inside please.

Thank you.

See picture attached does it look like the correct part ? Weirdly it is only listed for Nov 2011 > models before that the whole trim is listed. The later part number is 67765-05040

Thanks Lee.

I used 3 databases and even entering the part number you mention does not bring it up. What system do you use.

I will present the number to the Toyota man and order it.

Once again many thanks.

Hi Konrad

Just taken off the one fitted to my estate and there's nothing written on the cover to identify it.

I used Toyota's latest parts catalogue called Microcat, the issue lies in the fact that Microcat is a 1car 1part system. so because the part is only listed as a separate part on the Facelift onwards models if you put your chassis number into the catalogue it does not show the cover

I have ordered the part and it costs about £2.38+vat.

The parts guy at Sidcup Toyota was very good, as I explained how I got the correct part number.

Once again Thank you Lee

Got the replacement from Toyota Sidcup today, and fitted.

I mentioned to the Parts man that I got help from this forum and that not every database will show the part number.

Now for a couple of trim clips.
