New Owner Of An Iq3

Hi IQ Forum,

Bit about myself...my names Omar and I live just outside London/Essex, hope to see some IQ owners around!

Recently bought a Toyota IQ3 as a run around but its made its way to be my main car...absolutely love the little thing, especially seeing peoples reactions when I tell them about the seats in the back haha

It's a Toyota IQ3 in silver, 6 speed manual box, with sat nav, folding mirrors, auto wipers, auto dimming rear view mirror, and also the ipod connection near the gear stick so pretty decked out with gadgets...surprisingly good for such a small car!

I've been reading the forum for a while but just signed up today and thought I'd introduce myself.

Only gripe I have with the car is the maps don't work anymore...previous owner messed around with the memory card :disgust: and a slight rattle from left side of engine around 2k rpm (need to look at this, probably something slightly loose?). Apart from that I am very pleased with the car...especially its tiny turning circle!

Gave it a full service as soon as I purchased with all filters and fluids changed, used 5w30 oil but not sure if its my ears...engine seems a bit louder?

Will be looking at doing a few of the mods I have read about on here for sure too

Anyways, hope to talk to you guys soon!

Welcome Omar. Hope your oil is ok. Toyota recommed a special oil, which of course they dont stock for retail use. Its supposed to be 0-30 eco something or other and apparently the multidrive has something different again. I had mine changed by Hiq, who had to order a special oil in for my car (Almost identical to yours less the satnav) Mine now needs new tyres, nightmare, dont want bridgestones but due to 'silly size' we are stuck with them. Cheers Colin

Hi Omar superb choice, we bought the same at the time for a tow car behind our motorhome.wife fell in love with it and was not allowed to drill holes in it fir the tow hitch

We've added mud flaps and rear roof spoiler, absolutely love the car will keep for a long time

Make sure you change pollen filter as these get overlooked and can cause smell in car

Enjoy
