My brother was on his way down the M1 when his D4D lost all power. The ODB2 code was P1121.

Does anyone know what that is and how we can get rid of it??

If anyone else has this problem, some *useful* links:

http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/158122-p1121-code-on-2002-yaris-d4d-what-to-fix

http://www.pugaddicts.co.uk/2015/02/guide-toyota-yaris-14d4d-pedal-position.html

The guide on the Pug website was unexpected but very useful; Gonna remove go armed with a 7mm spanner and some electrical cleaner later and see if a good blast of contact cleaner in all its orifices won't sort it out

Will probably still need a garage to reset the code as I don't have a reader tho'

You might want to start your own thread tbh; It's like a ghost town here in the Yaris forum!

Anyway, we took it out the accelerator (So messy! What the heck is that yellow grease goop?! :lol;), opened up the innards and gave it and the plugs a good blast of electrical cleaner.

CEL is still lit until he can get it down to a garage, but so far the problem has not come back. Fingers crossed!

Be better to start it in the Celica forum too.
