Window Tints

Hi folks

I just rang to see about having my windows tinted by a pro like u all advised.

The guy on the phone says i cant have the 2 front windows done because as of start of this year its illegal :(

Does anyone know of a tinting company around Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby. that will still do it i can only find the 1 number and like i say he wont do it. :help:

you will be hard pushed to find anybody to it now mate as it is illigal to tint the front screen or front windows.

and you can only go as far as 36% on the rear and rear side windows.

sorry to the bearer of bad news mate but its not worth the fine or points if you get pulled :thumbsup:

The guy i bought my celica off last week had just had the side windows done (all 4) for about 120 quid. I havent got his no. but he works from mackworth court (hotel) in Derby. He runs a car valeting co. called CJ's car valeting or something like that. Ill try and contact him and find out where he had them done.

the bloke who does mine will still do the front windows (i think) as i need mine replacing....but im unsure

its near mansfield by the way???????

Zed got the number for you m8. Its a co. in Derby called Tint-Tech phone number 01332 770727 . He did my car about 2 weeks ago so the bloke said.

Many peeps in Celica Club have used Tint-R in Nottingham, a bloke called Richard who drives a Civic Type R!!! £150 for CC members and his work is superb. Call him on 0115 967 6575. I used Unicar in Doncaster. Good work but a little north for you I guess. I recently went for 35% all round (including 5% already on OE glass).

Dam does this mean that I'm going to have to take the tints off of my car now on the front side windows. The wifes got her first MOT in september and her front side windows have being tinted as well. I bet this is going to be a problem now :crybaby:
