Engine Number Location / Sump Suitability

Can anyone out there help me please?

I have just bought a 1998 petrol 3 door Rav and was a bit too enthusiastic with the wire brush when I was cleaning the sump - it leaks now, so I am going to have to replace it. This is where my problem begins as mine was registered in Nov 98 and it seems as though there was a change in the sump in April 98. So, conceivably it could be either. The later version does not appear to be available and the earlier one is - or so I believe. I suspect that the engine may not be original so I was hoping to be able to identify my sump requirements via the engine number, but I can't spot it !!

Any ideas for either the engine number or even whether or not there is actuall any difference in the sump would be greatly appreciated.
