Hi All,

I did introduce myself under a different name last week and also announced I was buying a GT4..

Sadly I was to quick to announce it as what I thought was a GT4 turned out to be a JDM ST183 which has GT4 bonnet, badges and decals...

Regardless of this monstorous act of dressing a

GT-R up as a GT4 I went ahead and bought it today anyway. It has sat in a barn for two years, after failing an mot on a leaking power steering pipe on the rear, but put a fresh Battery on when I went to look at it and she fired up first time and runs perfect, all the 4WS is in order too except for the leaking pipe. Its being delivered straight to the local garage on monday where it will go through a pre MOT check before hopefully getting put back on the road asap after a good service, scrub & polish and off course attending to the GT4 badging that has no place on it.

I will upload pictures soon for you all to see..

Im sure I'd of had more fun in a GT4, but either way I'm happy considering its in fairly good condition for age, imports always seem to be more looked after.. i'll let you know how I feel about it after a few weeks..

On the other hand I did only pay £250 for it so cant be disappointed at that..

Does anyone now if the mileage on it would be clocked up in miles or kilometres or is it a case of drive it and see if a miles a mile lol..

Nice :)

What u think of the 4ws technology?

Has it got all the paperwork for the import?

Is the speedo not in miles?

I did a bit of research in the past, but isn't an ONLY KM speedo fail a MOT (i could be wrong!) :help2:

Though that hasn't stopped plenty of imported cars with KM-only speedo s with valut MOTs :dontgetit:

The 4ws technology is great, real good principle and as long as it works its great, although with it never being intended for the euro market i imagine its expensive to fix :(

The speedo is in miles, what i meant was is its done around 260000.... kilometers or miles? I did read somewhere that its usually kilometers.. if nor then its very high milage =/

I havent seen any of the paperwork yet, the guy is digging all the paperwork out at the weekend for me,

I jumped in at the deep end buying it but it was a steal at £250

So whats your choice of toyota wayne?

I think the Toyota 4ws is electronic (someone will correct me)

Expensive to fix - not sure (again someone will correct)

Yes - £250 is a steal if its as good as u described it

Speedo should be equivalent to the KM that was at the time (but u never know!)

My choice?

ST165 :)
