If the car has been mis-used or otherwise damaged (eg driven through water which has been ingested by the engine), that wouldn't be covered. As the advert states it is a Cat D, it must have been written off by an insurance company.

If a car has ever been written off for any reason the car is no longer covered under warranty the only thing you can have under warranty is recalls.
