Poor Running Engine Mainly When Cold

Hi can anyone help as my local garage are struggling to find out my fault. Engine starts and ticks over fine but when you drive under loald the engine splutters, this is worse in second gear. A few time now the engine management light comes on with the CSV light, engine goes into limp mode. Fault on computer shows turbo but garage say this is fine. This problem seems to go away when engine is hot. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

May want to have a read of that, it's the basic stuff I worked through to resolve a similar issue.
