Rear Silencer

Hi, can the 2.0 rear silencer box be fitted on a 1.8 Rav 4 2002 model? Some sellers say it fits both but some say they are not compatible.......seems to be a vast difference in price for both identical looking boxes!!!!

The honest answer is no Toyota list a different part for each model, if they where the same then Toyota could have saved themselves an awful lot of money, time and effort in not having to design, test and supply two different exhausts but they didnt because the two engines required a different part.

This is what happens in the aftermarket world. They make one part fit several cars, they might be SIMILAR but they fit where they touch, back pressures will be different etc etc. Most are extremely noisy too, we no longer fit none genuine exhausts, they make an awful noise and cause customer dissatisfaction
