Noisy Clutch

I have a problem with the clutch on my car, at bite it gives a whining noise. Seems as if a bearing like the thrust bearing has worn out or come mis alligned.

Has been doing it for a while but its interemitent, I have only just had the time to ring the dealer up to let them have a look cos i have had the pain in the ***** pressure of exams to contend with, thus the reason for my absence.

Anyone else had any problems like this? Sods law is that the clutch will be quiet and smooth when i take it to the dealers :ffs: Cheers

if it makes a whining noise when you pull off its more than likely the release bearing

believe it or not the car will still work fine with this noise, it just gets on your threpny bits i can assure.

i had an escort for 18mnths that did the same thing but never broke!

Yeah, it seems to work fine, but the noise does concern me, it shouldnt do that really not after 18k miles anyway. Cheers for the advice tho

well my 'scort had only do 40k they can actually do it at anytime

if it concerns you then get it replaced but the car will be in no impending doom
