Hi there, hope someone can shed some light. The above video is similar to what I'm experiencing. First thing I did was check the engine oil and it was empty. Anyway, I've got the vehicle recovered to my home. Any ideas what is wrong?

If it's too costly to fix I will probably sell the car as it is or sell parts if anyone is interested?

Thanks in advance

I think it's fairly safe to say your engine's probably goosed.!....is yours pre or post facelift Celica.?...I assume you refilled with oil and tried it.?

Pre-facelift models were prone to being oil burners particularly if regular oil changes were not carried out...even post-facelift versions can suffer if neglected....what mileage.?

New engine or break and get rid I guess. :(

Hi, it's a 52 plate (2003) model. Silver in colour, full leathers etc. it's done 70,000 miles :(

Yes, I did pull oil in afterwards but as expected it's made no difference

Either way...it sounds terminal to me I'm afraid.

Shame...and probably only because it hasn't had the care/oil changes it should have had in it's life.

Neglect kills engines.!

If treated right, these engines are capable of big mileage....150k is quite common...and there's one on the bay atm that has over 300k miles.!...and STILL going strong.!
