Toyota Yaris 2005 Warning Light Problem

Hello,

I have a Toyota Yaris late 2005 model and I have recently had it serviced.

When the car Battery is on with the key turned in the ignition slightly and without the engine running, I have a warning light display for engine oil and another one for maintenance. The car has just been checked for engine oil and it was fine. Is this normal? I can't remember if these two lights always came on before I started the engine or not, and if it's normal for the car to do this. The car is running fine.

I tried a reset using the trip A method but this didn't work as I think the model might be too old.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

When the key is in position 2 without the engine running, it is normal for the oil light to be on (It's actually an oil pressure warning light, not a low oil light IIRC. It's normal to be on since the engine isn't moving oil around the system.). As long as it goes out once you've started the engine then it's okay.

Not sure about the other one.
