2007 1.4 Vvti Hatchback E12 Aux Cable Question.

Hi All,

This is my first time posting on the site, but have been on here a lot since I picked up this car.

I was hoping to add an aux cable to the radio, so I could play a few audio books on long drives.

I picked up the following cable (attachment 3), which is like a 20 pin connector. And it fit into an existing hole that was being used by the car already, when I tried it it wasn't picked up by the radio, and so didn't work. So it was 30 minutes of taking apart the dash for naught. :(

I've seen other radio's like the 6cd changer in the t3 version, or in this version, that this worked for, but it hasn't been the case for this model/version, with the bog standard radio, as it doesn't have a spare 20 pin connector port.

If any of you might be able to take a look, and suggest an alternative, then I'd really appreciate it.
