Help Battery And Diesel Filter Warning Lights

Hi all and thanks for taking your time to read this thread!

Would anybody have an answer to the above subject, I started the car this morning and the Battery and Diesel Fuel Filter warning light came on. I only changed the fuel filter earlier this year! Has anybody had this issue before and if so what was your actions in regards to having them turned off or was there something else wrong with your car like ECU? Cheers

Battery light tends to come on if the alternator isn't charging. Does the car start ok, or is it a bit slow?

Most common cause of those two lights at the same time is either a faulty Battery or alternator

It turns out to be the alternator after all. Am now £260 lighter but still driving.
