I have a 2003 4runner Sport V6. This is the lemon of all lemons! I purchased it in May of 2003. I currently have 21000 miles on it and have done all required maintenance.

One week ago (June 1) the transmission died on the way to work. The dealer has told me today that it will take an additional 2 weeks to get the parts. For crying out loud they have me driving a p.o.s. Toyota Matrix. That's not what I am paying for!

:ffs:

Toyota corporate has "taken a complaint and given me a case #" but has been no help. There was no disclaimer when I bought this vehicle like "warning, parts may take a month to get if repairs are needed." I purchased a Toyota because I had huge reliability problems with my previous American SUVs, but I never waited more than a day for parts, and never lost a transmission (ESPECIALLY WITH ONLY 21000 MILES!).

This is my first AND last Toyota. This is not service, it is disservice.

This is not my first encounter with lack of parts. After one week old, this vehicle lost the brake sensor (no brake lights). After waiting 3 days and still no parts I convinced the GM to take it out of another vehicle.

Virginia lemon law mentions 30 days without the vehicle in the first 18 months. It looks like I may hit it. I plan on picketing the dealership this weekend to try and blow as many sales as possible!

 hey dude sorry about the probleml...

most of the toyotas that are being built here in the U.S. isn't going to be reliable anymore...

you want the bullet proof suv, get the land cruiser. its still being built in japan.

i know for a fact that citizens don't take pride in building cars, domestic or import.

i should know i work for a parts supplier for gm and some imports..

lol.

hope everything works out, and don't let that scare you. get another new japanese suv.

lol
