Reverse Light Bulbs-Led Replacement - Blown Fuse?

Hi,

Just ordered a set of 582 LED bulbs off eBay and fitted them today, the passenger side works fine however the drivers side don't appear to work and upon taking out the drivers side bulb and replacing it with the original bulb, it blown the filament so I now have the passenger side working with the LED bulb just fine, and nothing on the drivers side....I tested the LED bulb in the working side to confirm the new bulbs work and they lit up so i'm guessing there must be independant fuses for the reverse light on either side??

Failing that, I might put them back to original bulbs as I ordered a set of 510 to replace interior lights etc and got these included so decided to fit them on top.

Mike.

Hi again,

Just realised like a plonker that the drivers side is a rear fog light and not another reverse lamp!!! :bangin:

Problem solved :clap::thumbsup:

I was wondering where you got the other reversing light from when my old 2010 only had one.

Yes, I still miss some off the good old fashioned quality of the Gen 1 Prius like:

  • 2 rear fog lights
  • 2 reversing lights
  • proper full size matching alloy spare wheel
  • individual wheels to control the flow from the 4 dashboard air vents (Gen 2 had this too)

Given the price of Prius these days, penny pinching like that should be unnecessary.
