Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blade Parks Below Windshield

I recently had the windshield of my 2001 Avensis repaired. While I was at the shop they said that my Wiper Blades needed to be replaced, and offered to replace them with Bosch Wiper Blades at a very reasonable price, so I accepted. The next time I used my wipers I noticed some noise from the passenger side when the wipers were parking. It turns out that the passenger side wiper blade sometimes parks below the windscreen: d0HzbmT.jpg

I don't know what I should do. I could return the Wiper Blades, but it didn't look like they had any other brands (or even models, they only had a dozen or two in a display). Besides the shop is a bit off my daily commute, so it's a bit of a hassle. And I like the look of the new blades. Is it possible to adjust where the wipers park? According to my receipt the model of the blade is AR450U. A little searching told me that the model is called AeroTwin. It feels very stiff compared to old fashioned wiper blades. Are all these flat wiper blades so stiff? If it had been able to bend a few centimeters it would probably have stayed on the windscreen. Do anyone have any recommendations? Adjust the wipers (if that is possible), buy new old-fashioned wiper blades or buy some less stiff flat wiper blades (if such a thing exists)?

The passenger arm is too low!

Since the wipers had to be removed, to allow the cowling to removed for the windscreen replacement. When they replaced the wipers, they should test to make sure they are in the correct position. The wiper arm is probably a notch or two out. Since the arm has come off already, it should be easy to remove again, for adjustment.

The wipers should be 6-7 cm from the bottom of the windscreen, where it meets the cowling. I measured both my Avensis and that is that is the distance.

They didn't replace the windscreen, they repaired it. If the arm is too low, it is my fault. I was the last one that removed those arms. I had to remove them a while ago when the linkage to the passenger side came apart. If the wipers rest 6-7 cm above the bottom of the windshield, wouldn't they be above the electrically heated area?

The weight of the blades plus the deflectors are forcing the blades lower down the screen.

The wiper position setting, is to make sure the wipers sweep the correct area, do not hit each other, not go outside the windscreen, and the parking position aids keeping blades from sticking, by blasting warm air from the vents during winter. Remember, warm air rises up the windscreen, and barely touches the bottom part.

You need to adjust to compensate for the new blades, and have a wet screen to be sure.

I noticed you repaired the linkage previously.
