Rear Seat Not Able To Fold Forward

Hi

As you know there is a small black lever to allow each rear seat base to hinge forward and fold behind the front seats

There are two, one for each rear seat

One works the other does not so the seat is locked in the standard position

Is there a fix for this?

The grey material tab that one pulls to release the entire seat seems jammed as it does not open the hinges to allow the seat to be removed

Any ideas, solutions most welcome. I need to fold the seat so a dog can be behind the seats

Make sure that your rear seats are in their rear-most settings otherwise the fold-up mechanism will not engage.

Try sliding the affected seat forward and back a couple of times then leave it at its rear-most and try the fold-up again. Ours played this little game once and exercising the slider sorted it.

There was indeed more play for it to go back now it does and all works correctly

I need to do this to make space for a dog - I think I need to make sure the seat does not fall back to its seated position

and injuring the dog, so wonder if a strap is needed. I see the bar has to be lifted to release the seat back to its

seated position so it is unlikely that can happen by accident but even so, would like to lock it more securely in its folded position

There was indeed more play for it to go back now it does and all works correctly

I need to do this to make space for a dog - I think I need to make sure the seat does not fall back to its seated position

I leave one of ours folded up most of the time and it has never fallen back down. Understand your concern though. You can remove them completely very easily, of course, which gives you more useable room.

Thank for the thread. My rear seat was stuck. Following the advice above I found that when the seat was forward the operating lever was loose. Pushing seat all the way back the lever was stiff but still didn't work, however someone sitting inthe seat and pushing back did the trick. The seat is now out.

The release lever on the back at the base of the folding seat is disconnected. So I cannot release the seat base from its locking pin. Anyone have an idea about what to do next?
