Toyota Mr2 Kit Car Fuel Consumption

hello there guys i got a toyota mr2/ ferrari 355 kit car iv'e done oil change and spark-plug change but my fuel consumption is abit crazy some days it's really good and some days it's terrible everytime i go up the hill when i'm pretty low i always get the red dot light come on pretty much saying i'm low on fuel since it's a kit car and the wheel axel needs to be spaced to look like the original car my wheel spacer is pretty big and much bigger then the normal wheel axel you would get on a normal toyota mr2 is this slowing me down do you think let me take a picture of it! it's on both side " REAR ONLY "
