Hi.

I got a 98 Avensis 2.0l Coupe and the heater controls work sometimes, and sometimes not.

Regulating the speed of the fan via the switch, it sometimes just wont go.

Was wondering if anyone could tell me how to/Link a how to fix/replace the switches.

I havent tried to open the dashboard yet so have no idea how to get the panels out...

Help?

I also got excesive dampness on the inside of me windows, to the point of almost have to go full warm to even be able to see out...

Are there any known faults in the hot water tubes on this model?

I am not sure what you are trying to describe, but I guess you are saying the fan speed it not working properly.

That tells me the resistor may be faulty. If you put the speed to maximum/full the fan will be fine. The resistor works with the lower speeds, so when you use the 3 lower speeds the fan may not work intermittently.

I checked the repair manual, and the heater control unit may need to be placed. Unfortunately I cannot upload the files as this time.
