A big hello to you all.

I have seen the IQ around for years but it is only very recently I discovered how clever they are!

Since test driving one a couple of weeks ago (IQ1) I had to have one!

I have now bought myself a late 2012 IQ2 to commute to work in.

I love it! Especially the smart entry & turning circle.

The forum has been very useful and look forward to making some new friends!

I've already purchased a roomster 2 for the back and some silver indicator bulbs are on order!

Hi, yes as above, I read a post about the skoda Badge looking good so I found one on eBay for £2.

My silver bulbs arrived yesterday too...

I live near Croydon and drive a bus round the surrounding areas, so get to look out for them everyday at work.

I've been "looking" for iQ's for a few weeks now and black definitely seems to be the most popular colour in my area. Closely followed by White. All other colours seem very rare. I haven't seen any blue, purple, or orange ones and only 1 red one.

Hi Liam, Nice iQ2. It's funny what you said about your realisation of what it's all about with the iQ. I have to admit I was after a Smart car, purely based on economy. What a mistake that would have been. Our Amethyst 1.0 manual iQ, now in our possession for 4 years, has been perfect (most of the time). I mean in the sense of it being a little too small sometimes. However, it does stop my wife buying larger objects for the house! Some good points from the bad then...

Well I too was swayed into another model - I'd heard talk of a VW fox revolutionising the small car sector, like most things VW these days, that tended to be a porky!!

Saw an IQ online somewhere and that was it - sold.

Never bought new before, but I wanted a decent small car for trips to the station and the odd holiday - well, it's delivered that and in spades.

Touch wood - never had anything go wrong, starts 1st time every time, comfy as hell. Looks the business, economical and it's still going strong. Can't see me ever getting rid of this great little car - even though they have stopped importing them.

In fact, I'm planning another Euro road trip with a pal around Germany next year.

It's been over the Alps, round Europe, and managed to stay healthy when the weather turns nasty.

I love it. I hope you're as pleased with yours as I am with mine.
