can any tell me whats the diff between a 1.5f power cap and a 2.5f power cap

#dont say about 1.0 f coz its just not that funny lol :help:

well 1.0F is the answer!

only difference is it will hold more charge and will be more effective with twin subs

a rule of thumb is 1F per 1000w of stereo

you need 2.6F power cap if the amp is running at full power

Is it to maintain the amp during ignition or switching off the engine ?

all a power cap do is smooth the power delivery to the amp and stops things like the dimming of the headlamps with the power spike created by the sub pulsing
