Has anyone fitted one of these to their corolla? If you take out the costs of these, is there a noticable difference in the braking in road use? Ive always found the weak point on my 1.6 is the brake feel and lack of initial response especial down hill.

I will never be on the track but just after better braking and of course the looks. Any opinions are welcome

Have you tried different pads?

I'm currently on 'Optifit Toyota' pads (Really Textar), due to some confusion, and am finding them noticeably worse than the EBC GreenStuffs I had on before. Dust production is about the same, initial bite is okay when cold but the brake fade is much more noticeable when e.g. braking from motorway speeds to a halt compared to the Greenstuffs.

There are lots of other companies out there too who make more aggressive pads; You just need to be careful when you're looking as the racing-grade pads are rubbish for normal use because they need to be hot and usually have worse braking than standard pads when cold.

a big brake kit for a 1.6 seems excessive. On my T25 Avensis when they were due I changed the discs to MTEC (grooved only with the black coating) & pads to Ferodo Premier (not the cheapest) as I never found the oem setup confidence inspiring. The upgraded combo certainly had better feel & imo better ultimate stopping ability.
