Afternoon all,

I was browsing the forum yesterday answering all sorts of little questions I had, as yesterday I bought my first Toyota. This is a car that I have been saving for because of the amount of people who have said how good they are. I bought a 57 plate D4D T180.

Beware that engine is known for cylinder head troubles - not all of them, but it's not exactly rare. It's the same in anything it's fitted to, including Lexus. There are less reports after the new model in 2009. Toyota extended their warranty to cover it, up to 7 years or (around) 110k miles, although yours is obviously beyond that period. Keep a watch on coolant and oil levels. There was a thread recently where it was suggested that using quality grade diesel helped.
