Advice Sought Re Updating Cd Player On 2002

Hi hoping there might be someone able to advise me on changing the CD part of my 2002 avensis, I don't want to lose the on board computer above it with temperature etc and though I've searched through forums not sure if possible, saw this old thread but picture gone so not sure if it's the same style as mine!: http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/63935-which-aftermarket-cd-player/

What are you wanting to achieve? Is the CD faulty? If so the only option is to swap it with a salvage unit.

If you want to play mp3 files from a player or phone the options seem limited. This may work.

It claims to work with the W53904. However it would be safer to check the available sockets on the rear of the head unit first. You could also send an image of your radio to the seller.

Other adapter manufacturers appear to exclude your unit so it's best to check first.

Thanks that's great, no it works just wanted to be able to play my phone through it, always listening to audio books and jealous of my husbands car stereo, spotted some offers for car audios but wasn't sure if enough space with the curve to fit a standard unit.
