The steering wheel feels sometimes sticky and not smooth when turning it.

On a 2006 Yaris the power steering is electronicly assisted sometimes a weak/failing Battery or faulty alternator can give a intermittent lack of assistance which gives a stuttering/unsmooth sensation when turning the wheel

Hi Devon

I mesured the Battery voltage and it was 14v. Could there be an other issue?

Check the auxiliaries drive belt.

In the past I've had something that sounds similar while parking (though I'm not certain now if the was our Yaris or a previous Honda). The extra load on the alternator from the electric p/s made the belt slip and reduced the power available. On examination there were quite a lot of chunks of the grooves missing through wear and tear. New belt sorted it.

The belt is in very good condition. In fact, the problem occurs after driving for a while and not when the car is cold. Sometimes I can hear a clic when turning the wheel but not all the time.
