On Board Computer Screen Lighting Issue

Hi, another question!

My screen normally looks like this:

but sometimes it looks normal shall we say (the outer screen brightness of the above image all over) but the whole screen flashes slightly faded. A gentle tap on the unit and it returns to the above look.

Does anyone know if the unit is duff or a loose connection? Seems weird how giving it a tap returns it back to the above state?

Follow the video. To remove the trim where the front cup holder is.. once removed you should see two philips screws holding the top unit in. Then pull unit out towards you and check all connections
