Hi guys, just got my first Toyota today and so far really impressed. Bought a 07 avensis with 102k on it and it's tight as a drum. Just has some minor issues (which are to be expected)...

Central locking key doesn't work remotely, changed the Battery but no joy, the light doesn't come on. Also got a bit of condensation in the headlights and wondered of anyone has had this issue and if so how did you fix it?!

Cheers :-)

Condensation on the headlights can only be fully addressed by removing the units from the car. That is a job in itself. There's some videos on YouTube which will help. Like mine you may not identify the cause but it could be something as simple as one of the bulb holders hadn't been previously attached correctly allowing moisture into the unit - or it may be something more obvious.

Once the unit is out a ten minute blast with a hairdryer directing the air into the headlight hole will dry it out.

Alternatively you could leave the unit in the car. If you attach a hose to your hairdryer and just disconnect the high-beam and dipped-beam bulb holders - give it a blast - you may get lucky.

BTW - it sounds like you only have one key? Get another as soon as possible as it will cost a fortune if you loose it...
