Manual Gear Box Oil Change

Hi,

Just noticed in handbook that toyota recommend oil change at 40K . Anyone done it? What is best oil to use

Toyota's schedule requires that the level be checked every 40,000 miles but not replacement. The oil is designed to last the vehicle life.

Should you want to replace the oil anyway you will need 2.4lt API GL-4 SAE 75W

Reviving this thread to ask: Is 75w90 ideal for 2009 model , 1.0 engine?

Update: Changed to transmission fluid on a toyota dealer to 75W and now it is way better and smoother. As it works it will be better of course but yeah DO NOT use anything else
