Hi guys,

I'm sure this has probably been asked several times before but I've been looking around the last few days all over the interent but couldn't find the answer to my question... Just recently brought the car so not sure which engine oil I need.

Would the Castrol Magnatec 5w30 A5 engine oil be fine to use? It's the only 5w30 oil that I can find in shops. I've been everywhere in my town and wierdly, that's the only 5w30 I can find. Abit worried since it says the A5 engine oils are only suitable for some engines.

APPROVALS & SPECIFICATIONS:
SN CF
ILSAC GF-4
ACEA A1/B1 or A5/B5
Meets Fords WSS-M2C-913-C, WSS-M2C-913-B,WSS-M2C-913-A, WSS-M2C-913-D

NOTE: 5W-30 oil is only suitable for cars that can use an ACEA A1/B1 or A5/B5 fuel efficient product. Please consult the vehicle handbook to confirm the oils suitability.

Toyotas specification lists 5w30 API SJ, SL or Iscac 3 multigrade oil.

Thanks for the reply mate but to be honest, I got no idea what this stuff means. Is that a no? :fear:

What oil grade would I need?

The 5W 30 Castrol Magnatec oil should be fine. I think the "Iscac" given in the previous answer is a typo, should have been ILSAC.
