Seat Heaters- Auris Excel 2015

Hi to all.. Have a simple question to ask.

My car has seat heaters... i'm not sure if they work well or there is some kind of fault.

I switch the heater switch on to HIGH and the seat gets pretty warm in a matter of seconds. Then after it gets to what i guess is its maximum its cuts off and cools back down.. is this normal or should i get it checked by my dealer please?

Thank in advance

Ryan

Not having heated seats I cannot say for sure.

I would have thought that the seat will heat up then cut off because by then your backside will be providing the heat.

As with anything else if you are not happy a trip to the dealer is needed.

Would have thought they with would have some sort of thermostat to prevent your nether regions becoming like well done rump steak or roasted Brazil nuts.

the other possibility is that being a Hybrid, & seat heaters needing power, is that Toyota even built the seat heaters into the control scheme.

Mine do exactly the same thing, not sure if its due to the ambient temperature that they cool down, if you do go back, i would be interested to hear what your dealer says.

Most cars I've had with electrical seat heaters have had timers, same as the door mirror heaters.

I've got an excel, when but on they go mega hot at first then sit at an ambient high (but not as high as the first power up).

Mine are the same,  the wife thinks they are brilliant and help her bad back on awful lot on cold days.
