Paint Code For 1995 Celica St 1800

Hello, Folks!

Just joined the forum.

I have bought my first Celica,and am pleased to bits with it.

It has a few minor chips and scratches.Were on earth do you find the paint code on it.

It is a subtle red colour,and is 1995 production.

usually not having checked and i'm sure someone will correct me it is under the hood on the plate with the engine number - dont quote me but I would check if you havent already

IF UR IN UK GOTO A LOCAL CAR PAINT SHOP AND ASK FOR A 1/4 LITRE OF CELULOSE PAINT , THEY MAKE IT UP TO MATCH THE CAR , LAST LOT I GOT FOR 4 QUID . 1/4 LITRE GOES ALONG WAY , I WENT TO Halfords FOR MY 95 TOYOTA SUPER RED 4 - DIDNT HAVE ONE , THE ONE THEY HAD DIFF SHADE WAS £ 17 . TOTAL RIP OFF , CODE IS ON VIN PLATE 034E SOMETHING LIKE THAT .http://www.gtfour.ch/

These are the colours from a 1994 Celica/MR2 brochure, this may be useful for others so I've listed em all...

Celica only colours:

3L2 Rosso (is this your colour?)

752 Storm Blue (m)

199 lucerne Silver (m)

746 Aquamarine (m)

Celica / MR2 colours:

040 Pure White

202 Astral Black

MR2 only colours:

3E5 Sunburst Red

6M1 Goodwood (m)

8B6 Caribbean Blue (m)

there's 4 shades of red . for a 95 celica .

the bottom row of numbers on the plate is the paint code, also trim code and other info. Buy a haynes for your car, you will need it eventually, all info is in the book and is great reading.

Maybe if you include the Jap colours, can't imagine Toyota GB having that many colours.

Assuming you mean a UK 98 Celica, then it's "199 lucerne Silver (m)" - which is metallic.

uk models are known as toyota super red 4 , but there are 4 shades of red , other 3 must be jap cars as you say .cos i got 2 new door handles and only come in 1 shade of red.mine is a uk spec car.
