Yaris 2012 Touch And Go Screen Blank

Hi,

I have a 2012 yaris and last night (for the second time) the screen went blank and the lights around it (back lighting) went on and off like it was trying to start up. It was blank last night for over half an hour before it came back on, the trip info was all there (time driving, mpg, etc) but the radio, CD, phone, etc was not operational during the downtime.

Anyone else experienced this? Anyone know if it is covered under warranty?

Thanks,

MPG

I'd take the car into the local Toyota dealer and see what they say. However, if the fauilt isn't present when they see the car, they may not be able to do anything ......

Might be worth taking some video of it (but not while driving of course) while it's misbehaving. Drop it onto a cheap USB stick so you can leave it with the dealer to send to Toyota if they don't have a clue.

UK warranty for cars from June 2010 is 5 years/100k miles so as long as you don't fall foul of that imo it should be covered.
