New Member Post - Please Help!?

Hello all I have just joined this page and hoping you guys can give me some help! I own a 98 1.6 16v GS, (I believe this to be the 4afe engine) I have owned the car for a very long time now however it's really starting to play up, to begin with it has these issues,

- From cold it will NEVER idle unless I keep my foot on the accelerator from fire up, if I let it try and idle on its own it just cuts out, even if I try to pull away on cold it will cut out as soon as I reach a junction and the revs drop naturally or whatever. Now when it's just slightly warm on the temp gauge it won't cut out, and the car idles and performs perfectly, now I have already replaced the following - dizzy cap, plugs, HT leads, rotary arm (I have also has cambelt done which is irrelevant), now I've been told that this could only be idle control valve, I had the idle control valve of and had it cleaned and also a new o ring, this didn't fix the problem,

I need your help guys in working out what to do next!?!? I cannot find anywhere apart from Toyota directly and they want an absoloute fortune! Can anyone point me in the right direction? 😔😔
