Hi,

I have the Toyota Avensis T Spirit 2003 model, from last month it is showing me the Airbag sign continuously ON and when took it to a Garage they said they can't fix that. My MOT got expired and I can't get my MOT until I can fix that issue. Can someone help me how to resolve this.

Hello Rajendra - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

Has the garage read the fault code for the SRS to see what the problem is, and if so what fault code has been displayed? If it is a faulty airbag, often the only solution is a replacement airbag module.

May not be a quick or cheap fix.

As frostyballs has said..also is there pre tensioners on these cars?could be that.my neighbours 3 series BMW had the same problem and garage couldn't turn it off.i had a quick check under the seats and found the wires from the seat belt pre tensioners ripped apart. £800 to put right but a auto electrican bypassed it and turned it off.i told him to check online/scrap yard for new 1 but he didn't bother.i found 1 on eBay for £10 & £3 p&p...worth a look and see if that could be your problem too? And welcome to the forum
