Evening folks

I've just bought my first Yaris (53 plate 1ltr) as a run around and im just after some advice on niggling problems i'm encountering.

1. I've got the dreaded water in the boot scenario which i think is down to poor sealing of the rear light clusters. I'm going to seal these up tomorrow, could it be coming from anywhere else?

2. I've attached a photo (i hope i have) of the OSF suspension mount as visable from under the bonnet. There's a gap and im not sure there should be? Any ideas?

3. I've attached another filter of the HT lead on one of the spark plugs and there appears to be some sort of burn or Scorch mark on the cylinder head. Anyone seen anything like this before?

4. I'm going to change the oil filter this weekend and want to buy the removal tool which slots over the top of the filter fitting to a socket wrench. What size will i need? Is it a standard size for all Yaris models?

Thanks for any help you can give

Andy

3. Never seen burns like that. Suggests a short of HT to earth.. maybe a failed coil which has been replaced? Yaris coils do fail infrequently.

4. I use a chain wrench to remove oil filters. The rubber tools used to open stuck kitchen jars work just as well if you clean the filter first. (Don't tell her indoors:-)

2. Missing suspension bit? Our 2003 Yaris is the same and is unmolested from new.
