My Starlet Sr

Right just brought a 1998 Toyota Starlet SR its my 1st car avnt past yet n' im goin be keepin it for 2 years wen i can get insured on a good honda nothin like V Tec Power...., right i have a Panasonic CD Player n 4 Speakers, 15" Speedline, PowerFlow Zorst, N i can tell its bin lowered on springs as its dead low n u feel every bump its like a go kart :) seems great tho carnt fault it as a 1st car ive got a few plans for it... wen ive polished it ill post some pics on here n wen i put mods on ill post u pics up showin you guys to see what you lot think its done 51000 miles, on an S/98 Reg i payed 2700 for it is that gud?, every1 thinks its gud cus its in mint con engine and bodywork is...., im happy with all the bits and bobbs that come on it P/S, E/W, C/L carnt go look rate nice 1st car....

N' i also wanted no if you guys no where i can get clear indicators from plz? if u got it website or number to it plz as well :)...

Welcome to the club,and congrads in getting the SR :P

Hope ur liking it. Yeah original springs lower at 25mm, isn't that low and the ride aint that bumpy, but i think urs has been lowered more.

You can get clear indicators from local Toyota garage, just ask the parts guy.

no they are aftermarket parts bud should have just a tte exhaust on

Yeah Panasonic is the standard CD player in the SR. Not sure about having 4 Speakers, i only had the front 2 Speakers. Did urs come with the standard toyota alarm?

i had 4 Speakers and a sony mini disc head unit come with mine!

nah no alarm..... im gettin a big 1 on it anyway... cus it can just be moved to my next car anyway :), is da toyota alarm any good?

Well i guess its ok, pretty safe down where i live anyway.

Four Speakers are the norm with a Sr so are the speedline alloys the TTE back boxes that come on them as standard are made by Remus but don't seem that good as most poeple i know with Sr's have had to chance them. The one i had was spec'd up a little furter at the dealer when it was new and came with Toyota front fog lights, Pioneer Speakers all round and a Toyota alarm.

yep im goin 4 sony wen i change it all my cars comin tomorrow anyway just had new cambelt on it, then im goin try the cd player out if any gud just put sony bass box in for now then sort the rest of it out wen ive got the cash :)

I replaced my parcel shelf with 12mm mdf. theres a pic of it on here somewhere. i have a sony headunit which cost £300 and it is broken now. screen dont work!!!so wont be buying from them again. gonna get a alpine headunit the new ones. to go with me 12" alpine sub and alpine amp i have already. Trying at the moment to fit 6x9s in the front of me car in the orignal holes. hope it works.let ya know how i get on.

its covered in white vinyl but after a couple of thinking moments i have decided to change it to black.

Why do you wanna fit 6x9's mate when you have a sub they are just not needed a decent we set up sub should take care of all the low bass frequencies then a good set of components will take care of the rest

i agree if these standard 1s in mine can handle the power there stayin in n they aint 6x9s its just im puttin 1000 watt sub in n that will over power ur 6x9s anyway its just if they carnt handle then im changin mine :)

Well thats what i had in my old car. components up front with 12" in the back sounded awesome. but in me starlet the front standard spearkers are awful. so i thought putting 6x9s in would give me more vocals. plus i have no bass going though the 6x9s so the sub takes care of the bass. when i can afford the jl's up front i will take the 6x9s out of the shelf cos with my neon in the boot will shine though the holes where the toyota Badge is cut out and glows up blue in the dark which looks preety trick

What is the biggest speaker anybody has got on here in the front of there car????
