If similar to the first generation Auris (2007-2012), side body mouldings were a dealer fit option - usually supplied in black, but could be colour keyed at extra cost.

Yes, they are a dealer fit option, we had them fitted to our Aygo when we bought it new last year.

You can buy aftermarket body side mouldings and fit them yourself, they're only held on with good quality double sided adhesive tape. I bought them for my last Auris from AutomovitaUK. and was quite happy with them although you cannot fit them in cold conditions. Here's an example of them although it's for the Mk3 and they're less than £40 for the full set.

Hi thank you for all the quick replies, while I'm here I know what the official MPG figures are for my new purchase 2007 Avensis 1.8 TR auto but I wondered if anyone had experience of the automatic and could tell me what roughly to expect in the normal mix of driving some town , local roads etc

cheers Gordon

Hi

I get about 35 overall average out of my 08 TR auto (03-08 model). This is a 50/50 mix of motorway and local town driving. All town seems to be about 32 and all motorway about 40. I quite like the semi auto box now I am used to it.

I had a 55 plate 1.8vvti auto and got mid 30's mpg with normal mixed driving. Even driving very sedately the best I ever got was about 36.

Even the genuine Toyota items should be ~£60. Bear in mind that these will all be unpainted so allow for paint costs if you want them matching the car.
