Music In Car

Hi,

i have the Toyota yaris 2015 which has the Toyota touch and go, the system played media through my iPhone via usb. i now have an android at the system doesn't even recognize the mobile?

Any help of thing if anyone got their andriod working

I have a oneplus one, but if there is a certain andriod phone which connects via usb I would like to know

by the way, you probably don't have Touch & Go but Touch 2 with Go (if you have nav). Completely different systems.

Have you checked the settings on the phone? If nothing else has changed it strikes me as more likely to be a phone setting rather than a system setting.

Why are you limiting your connection options to USB? Have you tried connecting via bluetooth? (...and, like Scott says above, if your car is a 2015 model you definitely have a Touch 2 head unit)

Our Yaris doesn't have the Navigation system, got put off by the Lexus version and maps are very expensive! But ours plays music from an iPhone by cable or blutooth!

Can you not just put your Android into USB Mass Storage mode? It'll appear to the system as if it was just a slightly weird USB stick and it should be able to play any MP3s or whatever on there I would think...?

(As for HOW to put it in Mass Storage mode, that is an exercise for the reader... The one thing I really hate about Android atm is that they are all totally different! As much as I hate Apple, they at least know how to make a consistent interface!)
