Yaris 2Nd Gear Issues

Hi so basically today I was driving back from work and all of a sudden I couldn't engage 2nd anymore ??? I realised that I can go from 1st straight into seconed but not from any other gear or neutral to 2nd. Ie 3rd to 2nd. This seems to happen when am moving but then can move gears freely when idling or at crawling speed.

The car is a 2012 toyota yaris with 90k miles on it

1.4 d4d manual.

So do you guys have any idea as too what it could be and if it would be covered under warrenty ?

Does your clutch pedal feel OK, not soft or too much free play because if the clutch is nor disengaging properly it can make gear changing more difficult.

It sounds more like your 2nd gear synchro has gone though, especially if you can change from 1st into 2nd OK. When you're changing down from 3rd to 2nd are you trying to do it at high speed? That would make it worse. You could try double de-clutching between 3rd and 2nd to see if that helps.
