2014 Firm Suspension

I have drove my mothers 2014 Yaris a few times and the suspension feels very firm. I'm presuming that the car is like that by design but my mother says that its very harsh if taking a corner very quick and hits bump.

I would argue that if you do that in most cars that you are going to feel it, its hard for me to tell though as I'm driving an Avensis at the moment which I feel is smooth without much feedback from the road.

There was supposed to be a question in there. Is the 2014 Yaris known to have a firm suspension?

Yes. It was softened on the 2015 facelift model.

Thanks Tom,

That would explain it, I'm picking mine up today (2014) so should be able to compare. I imagine it being a much nicer ride with a softer suspension.

What profile are the tyres on your mother's Yaris as this can affect ride quality. Usually the lower the profile, the harder the ride seems.

We used to have a Mazda 2 with 205/45/16 tyres as standard, and the low profile tyres made the ride quite harsh in that.
