I've just bought this 2012 1.33 vvt-i SR and it was serviced proir to picking it up.

What oil should I get for topping up purposes? Is UNIPART ProS1600 OK?

As an aside, are Workshop manual avialble for these cars and if so, where?

Thanks

re. oil

iirc Optimal drive petrol models 0w20 or 5w30

Other petrol engines 5w30

re. Workshop manual.

Tech info is available from https://www.toyota-tech.eu - some is free & some is chargeable (iirc it is €3 per hour but documents are downloadable).

The preferred oil for yours is 0W-20. See

http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/148359-engine-oil/

Unipart ProS1600 is API SL 5W-30 , and in the absence of the preferred oil may be used. What grade oil was used for the service (as some garages use 5W-30)?

Thanks for the reply. I don't know what oil was used, though I could propabably find out.

Would mixing 0w20 and 5w30 for topping up purposes, be a poroblem ?

What does the Yaris HSD indicate or perhaps, which Yaris's are HSD ?

HSD is Hybrid Synergy Drive - i.e. hybrid.
