Headlight Bulb Connector

Hello everyone,

Okay, I'm trying to change the bulb but cannot get the white connector off of the bulb itself.

I can pull the rubber seal away and unclip (spring) the bulb from the mount....but I need the clip off to get the bulb out....ive tried squeezing clip, pulling it up, down left and right whilst pulling....but cannot for the life of me get the connector off.

Anyone got any tips to help removal?

Anyone know if the current Aygo uses Hir2 bulbs?

As far as I'm aware the second generation Aygo does use HIR2 bulbs.

So I should just use brute force to take the connector off??? I don't want to bend or damage the connector. Abit of wd40?

Use a long flat screw driver tip to wedge it between the plastic plug and the metal base of the bulb. Then use it as a lever to separate the two. OR use a long nose plier and pull the plastic bit out. It works every time.
