T27 Silencer Heatshield

I'm wondering if somebody knows what the part number is for the aluminium heatshield that sits directly above the rear silencer on a T27 saloon (or better still, whereabouts on the Toyota Electronic Parts Catalogue)? Year is for a 2012 saloon.

PartsKing or Devon Aygo probably.

Or you could start from here http://www.japan-parts.eu/toyota/eu/2012/avensis/adt270r-awfgyw/2_273560_078_530W/body/5801_floor-pan-lower-back-panel

I made a few guesses re. engine/trans etc. to get to there so possibly redo those to be sure

Thanks Heidfirst. I'd been looking at that diagram, but still can't see anything that looks like the shield. The panel you've pointed to sits directly above where the shield fits, but I think this is might be an actual body panel? It doesn't look exactly like the shield and doesn't show the fixings, so I'm guessing it's a panel?

as I said it was just a place to start ... Did you look at any of the other pages?

Yes, I looked at the other pages. Unfortunately, there's a problem in that some of the diagram image files don't  open, even when I do 'right click - show image'. I'm guessing it will be on one of those, especially as the diagram we've been looking at doesn't show fixings when it should do.

strange, I haven't had a problem with any of the pages opening. :confused1:

Found it at last! It was under 'Body' and then 'Floor Insulator' section, although the diagram wasn't necessarily clear.

Part No. is 58327-05030 for the shield.

Well done with sticking with it.  I suspect that will have to be a Toyota dealer part (or scrappy), can't imagine too much call. Try PartsKing.

As your car is listed as a 2014 what have you done to it that you need that part?

Yes, it would have to be Toyota. Car's a 2012. There's nothing actually wrong with the shield other than it starting to tarnish and look at bit grotty as it's in the line of fire from water etc. from the rear wheel and toying with the idea of changing it purely for cosmetic reasons (like to keep my car's looking as new and detailed underneath). Removing it would also give me access to a wider section of the rear floorpan area seams for adding Dinitrol wax protection to, so they'll never rust.
